Job Opportunity: Academic Nephrologist
We are currently seeking applications for a full-time or part-time faculty role as an Academic Nephrologist within the Department of Pediatrics. Our organization is looking for a highly qualified board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to enhance our dynamic clinical program focused on diagnosing and treating children with kidney disorders. The selected candidate will join as the second or third member of our division, which plays a vital role in delivering essential clinical and academic services that align with the objectives of our children's hospital and medical college.
Our division is committed to providing exceptional clinical care and is recognized for its excellence in teaching. We manage the Pediatric Dialysis Unit on-site and actively participate in our comprehensive outpatient pediatrics program, which includes multidisciplinary and satellite clinics. Additionally, our division collaborates closely with a strong pediatric urology team, a transplant surgery program, and skilled interventional radiologists.
About Our InstitutionLocated in Albany, New York, our organization is a prominent academic medical center and serves as a Level I Trauma Center, offering a wide range of adult and pediatric specialties.
The Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital features a 60-bed NICU, a 19-bed PICU, and a newly established pediatric emergency department that opened in 2018, providing a comprehensive setting for inpatient care managed by our division. Our medical college is a private institution that adheres to non-discriminatory practices and is an equal opportunity employer. The successful applicant will have numerous opportunities to teach residents and medical students and will be eligible for a faculty appointment at the medical college, with rank determined by qualifications and experience.
