Exciting Opportunity for Med Surg/Ortho RNs!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (0630-1830, 1830-0630)
- Unit: Med Surg / Ortho
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
- Average Daily Census: 6
- Total Beds: 22
- Common Diagnoses:
- Total knee replacements
- Total hip replacements
- Ankle replacements
- Total shoulders
- Spine issues (back and neck)


- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)


- Driver's License: Required at submission

- Key Highlights:

- Learning Opportunity: Open book exam for skills during orientation; must achieve 90% to pass.
- Flexible Scheduling: Self-scheduling with cyclic rotation and weekend requirements every other week.
- Orientation: Only 1 day of unit/department specific orientation.

- Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: Yes, with a ratio of 1:13.

- Radius Rule: 50 miles; candidates must not work for any associated facilities.

- RTO needed upfront; no additional time off approved after submissions.

- Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments.
