Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 7 plus year Patent Litigation Associate or Attorney to join its San Francisco, California office. This is a litigation focused role supporting sophisticated patent disputes, with the opportunity to take ownership of significant workstreams across the lifecycle of complex matters. Candidates with a range of technology backgrounds are encouraged to consider the opportunity. The San Francisco team works closely with colleagues across offices on complex intellectual property litigation matters for innovative clients. The Opportunity You will handle substantial patent litigation matters in U S District Court and before the International Trade Commission, including motion practice, fact and expert discovery, deposition preparation and defense, expert reports, discovery management and trial support. The role is suited to an experienced litigator who can manage day to day case demands, run with assignments and deliver consistently polished written work under deadline. Ideal Candidate Profile The firm is seeking a 7 plus year Patent Litigation Associate or Attorney with: At least seven years of substantial patent litigation experience, including U S District Court matters and International Trade Commission proceedings Strong litigation fundamentals across trials, motions, depositions, expert discovery, expert reports and discovery management Exceptional legal writing skills and the ability to produce polished advocacy in complex disputes California Bar admission in good standing Strong academic credentials, including a law school transcript from a Top 100 law school, with ability to provide a resume, transcript and writing sample Why This Opportunity Stands Out This role offers meaningful responsibility on complex patent litigation, including exposure to substantial federal court and International Trade Commission proceedings.
