Position Title: Breast Imaging Radiologist - Diagnostic Radiology Location: Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA Department: Department of Radiology Position Type: Full-time Academic Rank: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (commensurate with experience) Position Overview Tufts Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our renowned Department of Radiology. This position involves performing health assessments, conducting diagnostic tests, diagnosing and managing breast‑related health conditions, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to ensure the highest quality of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in breast imaging and diagnostic radiology, with proficiency in mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and image‑guided biopsies. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic tests for patients with breast conditions, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image‑guided biopsies. Interpret and analyze diagnostic images to diagnose and determine appropriate treatment plans for patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, surgeons, and pathologists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Conduct regular rounds and discussions with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients. Provide patient education on health conditions, diagnostic procedures, and treatment options. Participate in the design, implementation, and interpretation of clinical research, especially in breast imaging and related fields. Mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the academic mission of the Department of Radiology. Stay current with advancements in breast imaging technologies and clinical practices through ongoing professional development and research. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committees to continuously enhance patient care and outcomes. Ensure accurate documentation of patient evaluations, diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes in accordance with hospital standards. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Radiology with a fellowship in Breast Imaging. A strong background in breast imaging modalities (mammography, ultrasound, MRI, image‑guided biopsy). Clinical expertise and experience in managing breast cancer screenings, diagnostics, and interventional procedures. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, team‑based environment. Academic interest in clinical research, medical education, and teaching. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork. Commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate care to diverse patient populations. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
