Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout the procedures, offering clear and empathetic explanations
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic images
• Handle and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Thoroughly document procedures and keep detailed patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and industry best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a program accredited by CAAHEP in Sonography is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Strong technical ability in sonographic imaging and optimal patient positioning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a patient-centered approach
