Senior Accountant

Own the general ledger and month-end close for a remote, fast-paced organization building high-quality training data, evaluations, and feedback systems for advanced AI. You will help ensure accurate books, timely closes, and reliable financial information for confident decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, promptly investigate discrepancies, and resolve them.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation for all accounts.
• Support external audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Improve close processes to reduce cycle time and strengthen accuracy.
• Partner with leadership to keep financial information audit-ready and decision-ready.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls for the close and reporting cycle.

• Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience focused on general ledger work and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system.
• Strong Google Sheets and Excel skills.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight close deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote startup environment.

• Active CPA license or progress toward a professional certification.
• Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows.

• The listed annual compensation is $110, 000 to $150, 000.
• A separate compensation notice states a national base-salary range of $90, 000 to $120, 000 USD.
