Job Summary Macdonald & Company are proudly partnered with a reputable Real Estate Developer and Investor headquartered in Denver, CO with a track-record in ground-up Multifamily and Single-Family Residential projects.The firm are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant who will work across their Real Estate Development company, as well as their Construction firm that is a builder on behalf of multiple best-in-class development groups nationally.The Company & TeamWith a track-record that spans 3 decades, the firm has a strong company culture & set of values, and is regarded in the industry as a superb local developer and an excellent 3rd party construction firm. The environment is that of a collaborative group of 7+ team members, each having their own focus but also supporting other team members through busier periods.The RoleThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for touching all parts of the financial statement, working in a full-cycle accounting capacity within a collaborative team of individuals.They will be responsible for:Overseeing corporate accounting functions, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements. will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, and contribute to financial decision-making that supports our company’s strategic goals.All finance and accounting aspects of their assigned projects, working directly with directors, equity partners, and lenders.This individual will also work directly with Development Team to:Ensure all transactions are accounted for properly and in accordance with the operating agreement any applicable agreements including operating agreements and loan agreements (acquisitions, dispositions, loan extensions and closings, etc).Update budgets monthly through the different stages of completion (under construction, lease-up, stabilized operations, etc.). Actively participate in all real estate and financing closings, and associated processes, serving critical accounting and organizational functions internally and with investors and lenders.& Much more.
