Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem

The Registered Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem will:

• Perform ultrasound procedures following the SPUH ultrasound scanning protocol appropriate to the ages of the patients.
• Prepare patient for ultrasound procedure- this includes proper clothing educating patient and family - if pediatric patient ease fears.
• Assist Radiologist to obtain a diagnosis.
• Determine when a patient should be held until their physician is contacted with results of the procedure.
• Accurately record a complete technologist 'note' to include all pertinent information concerning the exam/procedure.

Requirements:

• Graduate from approved school of medical ultrasound technology.
• RDMS required.
• Requires communication skills sufficient for effective communication with patients physicians and staff.
• BLS Certification required as approved by the American Heart Association.

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors including job-related work experience internal equity and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
