Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II trauma center.

Details

• Respiratory Services department at a large hospital with 854 beds
• Adult, NICU, and Pediatric service lines covered by respiratory staff
• Patient ratios range from 10 to 25
• Uses GE R860 adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
• Cerner EMR used
• Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Varying weekend shifts with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating required to all Critical Care units and floors
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required; CRTs will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult, NICU, and pediatric patient populations
• Work within a large, established respiratory therapy team
• Scrub color requirement: Medium Gray/Pewter
• Facility is a Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke center and Level III NICU designation
• Magnet-designated hospital recognized for nursing and clinical excellence
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
