Our specialty departments include Emergency and Critical Care, Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Oncology , and Surgery/Orthopedics. We are adding an Oncology department to our list of specialty services Fall 2026! Our hospital has a friendly and collaborative work environment. VSH of PBG is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology TEAM! About You The success of your patients’ care matters to you, and your success matters to us. Your Experience & Skills Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, NOT required ! Experienced Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply! 1-2 years of clinical experience in an Oncology specialty service is preferred A degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. You’re Willing And Able To Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow Assist with treatments and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on care, medications, and additional treatments Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members You’ll Grow With Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
