Clinical Training Specialist - Surgical & Wound Care

Role Description We are seeking a motivated and clinically experienced Clinical Training Specialist – Surgical & Wound Care to support clinical education, product training and adoption of advanced wound care and surgical biologic products. This role is responsible for providing hands-on product education, procedural support, and clinical training to surgeons, clinical staff, distributors, and internal sales teams to support successful product adoption and effective clinical use. The Clinical Training Specialist will serve as a key liaison between clinicians, surgeons, sales representatives, and internal departments to help integrate MPM Medical technologies into surgical and wound care workflows. The position supports clinical activities through product education, operating room support, procedural observations, dressing application training, customer onboarding, and ongoing clinical best-practice development. This role will also assist with internal sales education initiatives by providing training on product science, clinical applications, procedural workflows, and appropriate product utilization. The Clinical Training Specialist will work closely with Clinical Affairs, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support clinical programs, customer education, product evaluations, and clinical adoption strategies. The role will additionally provide support for clinical study coordination activities and related clinical data collection efforts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide clinical education and hands-on training to surgeons, clinical staff, distributors, and sales representatives regarding company products, procedural techniques, and best practices. Support customer onboarding and training activities to ensure successful product adoption and operational readiness. Support training and education initiatives for internal sales teams and distribution partners, including product science, clinical applications, and procedural workflows. Participate in national sales meetings, workshops, conferences, and field-based educational activities. Collaborate with Sales and Clinical Affairs teams to identify training gaps, adoption barriers, and clinical support opportunities. Develop and maintain clinical education materials, procedural guides, presentations, and training resources. Collect and communicate clinical insights, customer feedback, procedural observations, and product performance trends to internal teams. Assist with clinical documentation efforts including case reports, clinical summaries, and product experience tracking. Provide support for clinical study coordination activities, including site communication, data collection support, and clinical follow-up activities. Maintain a strong working knowledge of advanced wound care, collagen dressings, biologics, surgical reconstruction, and related technologies. Maintain professional relationships and communication with surgeons, clinical staff, distributors, and internal stakeholders. Requirements: RN, BSN, or equivalent clinical background required. Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in wound care, orthopedics, burn care, podiatry, plastics, OR nursing, or related specialties. Wound care certifications (WCC, CWCN, CWS, etc.) preferred. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and facility administrators. Hands-on experience supporting advanced wound care products, biologics, skin substitutes, surgical implants, or related technologies. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to travel up to 50–70% as needed for customer visits, conferences, and educational events.
