Anesthesia Technician

Job Description Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. The anesthesia technician supports the anesthesia providers by preparing and setting up appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case, including connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating all common physiological monitors. The incumbent must be able to apply several specialized tests and may provide limited patient care as needed by assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery. Qualifications Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association 2 years clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room or as an anesthesia technician. Completion of an Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
