Senior Surgical Technician - Operating Room

Senior Surgical Tech - Providence Portland Medical Center This is a full‑time day‑shift position (0640‑1715, 4 ten‑hour shifts weekdays) with rotating weekends, holidays, and call/standby. Key Responsibilities Review preference lists and pick supplies and instruments for a procedure. Perform a surgical scrub and prepare the back table with appropriate sterile instrumentation and supplies. Support intra‑operatively by anticipating the surgeon’s needs and passing instrumentation and supplies when needed. Complete the instrument cycle by taking instruments and equipment to the decontamination area at the end of the procedure and putting away left‑over supplies and equipment. Required Qualifications Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school. Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification. Upon hire: National Provider Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification. 3 years of experience as a surgical technician in an operating room.
