Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors# **$19.89 +.50 shift differential**# **Sun-Thu 5:00pm - finish, 8+ hour shift, OT mandatory****SUMMARY**Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES*** Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.* Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.* Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.* Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.* Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.* Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.* Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.* Identify and report slot and put-away problems.* Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.* Performs house keeping duties as assigned.* Perform other duties as assigned.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**The ideal Candidate will have ability to:* Operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker.* Lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift.* Bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time.* Successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements.* Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.**WORK ENVIRONMENT** The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. * Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment.* Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.* This is a full-time position.* Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.* Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.* The position does not require travel.**QUALIFICATIONS****Required:*** Must be at least 18 years of age.* Must pass a functional capacity test.**Preferred:*** Knowledge of SAP.* 1+ year warehouse experience.* Previous forklift certification.* Material handling equipment experience.* Reach truck experience.**BENEFITS INFORMATION:**For information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit is the global leader in foodservice distribution.
