Granite Mountain Quarries is looking for the right culture fit to join our team as a Safety & HR Coordinator for our office in Little Rock, Arkansas. This position will report to the Safety & Human Resources Director and through its duties will help ensure that GMQ continues to maintain an outstanding safety record and healthy work culture.

Primary responsibilities will be:

• Taking ownership of GMQ's safety submission process ("Good Catch")
• Completing MSHA reporting paperwork, MSHA annual refreshers, etc.
• Taking lead of our Safety Sharing awards, monthly safety points, etc.
• HR paperwork related to Personal Action Forms and Policy Administration.
• Organize and assist with company events and initiatives, communicate with stakeholders (verbally and electronically) to facilitate team success.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in either Mining Environments and / or Safety & HR roles.
• Computer skills and knowledge to operate internal programs and databases.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
• Must have strong relationship management skills with the ability to train, influence and motivate team members
• Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in difficult situations.
• Must be willing to travel on occasion for training, conferences, etc.

Specific Duties

Safety

• Lead the Good Catch Program ( Hazard Recognition / Reporting Platform)
• MSHA Annual Refresher Tracking
• Updating of individual employees training during the year (Excel)
• MSHA Quarterly Reports
• 7000-2 – man hour report tracking
• Enter in MSHA.gov and distribute to each plant
• MSHA Citation tracking and abatement documentation
• MSHA Task Training Entry in Excel
• Safety Sharing Award Program (tracking hourly safety incentive)
• Safety Supply Room Inventory (order and stock accordingly)
• Company safety metrics and reporting ( Building Committee Meeting, Supervisor Meeting & HR/Safety Peer Meetings slide decks)
• Coordinate scheduling of onsite PPE vendors

Human Resources

• Safety Mojo Administrator (HR platform for PAFs )
• Personnel file management
• New Hire or Terminated Employee Data
• Disciplinary documentation support (PAF's)
• Benefits administration assistance
• Understand our benefits and where to go for the information
• GMQ Policy administration
• FMLA and leave tracking
• Facilitate 'fit for duty' release on injured employee return to work

Administrative

• Safety meeting preparation
• Newsletter creation
• Safety Score Board Tracking
• Safety communications
• Organize and assist with company events and off-site meetings
