Sr Procurement Specialist

Description Completes sourcing and procurement related assignments, including program management, sourcing and competitive bidding activities, contract administration, category management support, customer and supplier research and problem resolution, and timely ordering, delivery and inventory management of goods and services to support business operations. Essential Functions Assists with supplier selection and onboarding, including competitive bidding, supplier negotiations and vendor management activities. Develops business stakeholder relationships, providing support in navigating procurement process and procedures. Actively uses quality tools, participating in activities that identify and implement enhancements to procurement and vendor administration processes, policies and systems. Uses appropriate system of records, monitoring, tracking and maintaining overall program, process and systems compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience in airline operations, flight dispatch, or fuel planning. Direct experience with fuel tankering software and/or flight planning systems. Knowledge of aircraft performance factors, global aviation regulations, and commodity markets. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated ability to develop structured tools, analyses, and presentations. Builds and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the broader FedEx organization, to leverage organizational expertise, scale, purchasing capabilities, and transportation network advantages that support business performance and strategic growth. Preferred Qualifications Operations or fuel related experience Strong analytical skills Vendor/supplier management experience Minimum Education Bachelor's degree/equivalency in business related field. Minimum Experience Four (4) years experience in procurement/sourcing. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Pay Transparency Pay: MEM: ($5,662.27/mo - $9,342.75/mo) Additional Details This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx location several days a week. Position will be reporting to Mgr Matt Duty. Compensation Grade: E25.
