This is an ideal opportunity for an IT professional with 3+ years of desktop or technical support experience who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users, and taking ownership of technical issues from initial troubleshooting through resolution. You’ll serve as a trusted, onsite technology resource - supporting Windows and iOS environments, troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues, managing user access, and ensuring employees have the technology and support they need to work effectively. What You'll Do As a Deskside Engineer, you'll provide responsive, customer-focused technical support while diagnosing and resolving a variety of hardware, software, access, and connectivity issues. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on deskside support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals. Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and iOS devices. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues. Support user accounts and access through Active Directory. Troubleshoot basic networking issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network connectivity. Use remote support tools to diagnose and resolve technical issues when appropriate. Clearly communicate technical information to users with varying levels of technical knowledge. Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recurring issues. Collaborate with other IT team members while independently managing assigned issues. Identify opportunities to improve the overall end-user technology experience. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in deskside support, desktop support, IT support, or a similar technical support role. Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems. Experience supporting iOS devices. Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Experience with Active Directory and user account management. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and basic networking concepts. Experience using remote desktop/support tools. Experience working within an IT ticketing environment; Freshservice experience is a plus. Strong troubleshooting, research, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize issues and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Education Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. The Person Who Will Thrive Here You're someone who genuinely enjoys figuring out why something isn’t working - and making sure it works before you walk away. You're quick to learn new technologies, communicate clearly, and understand that excellent IT support is as much about the user experience as it is about the technology. You're patient when explaining technical issues, comfortable taking ownership of a problem, and equally comfortable collaborating with teammates when a solution requires additional expertise. You're self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and willing to step up and lead when needed while remaining a strong team player. Why This Role? This is an opportunity to move beyond transactional help-desk support and become a highly visible, trusted technology partner to onsite users. You'll work across a broad range of technologies and issues, build relationships with the people you support, and have the autonomy to research problems and drive them through resolution.
