Cobalt Smoke & Sea is seeking a talented, energetic, and hospitality-focused Mixologist to create exceptional guest experiences through innovative cocktails, premium beverage service, and outstanding customer engagement. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about craft cocktails, seafood and steakhouse dining, and delivering memorable service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

The Mixologist is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the development of seasonal cocktail menus that complement our seafood and smokehouse-inspired cuisine.

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
• Create innovative craft cocktails and seasonal drink offerings.
• Engage guests in a friendly, professional manner while providing recommendations and upselling premium beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and current beverage trends.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with Missouri liquor laws.
• Verify guest identification and monitor alcohol consumption.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to management.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
• Process guest payments accurately through the POS system.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side-work duties.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, bar, lounge, or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

• Mixology certification or advanced cocktail training.
• Experience in upscale dining or craft cocktail programs.
• Wine and food pairing knowledge.
• Experience developing specialty cocktail menus.
