Interventional Radiology Technician

Interventional Radiology Technologist Role: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by producing optimal images, assisting physicians, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities Explain procedures to patients, minimize anxiety, and prioritize workflow based on patient condition. Maintain sterile equipment, adjust imaging equipment, and perform quality control procedures. Critique image quality and determine if repeats are necessary. Follow safety protocols, support OSHA regulations, and maintain a clean environment. Communicate effectively with team members and participate in staff meetings. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; ARRT certification in Radiology; 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience. Licensure in Radiology; IV credentialing preferred. Proficiency in interventional procedures, ability to complete competency testing, and physical ability to perform job duties. Skills & Requirements: Attention to detail, strong communication, physical stamina, and ability to handle radiation exposure.
