Interventional Radiology Technician

Role: Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities: Produce high-quality images, assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, explain procedures, and manage workflow efficiently. Maintain sterile equipment and follow safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and universal precautions. Clean examination surfaces, provide necessary linens, and clean spills immediately. Communicate effectively with patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation. Participate in team meetings and share information with colleagues. Adjust imaging equipment, perform quality control, and critique image quality for appropriateness. Perform additional duties as assigned, including use of safety equipment and travel between facilities. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, certification through an accredited Cardiovascular or Radiological Technologist Program, and ARRT registration. Minimum of 1 year interventional radiology experience required. Licensure and IV credentials preferred. Skills & Requirements: Ability to complete competency testing, knowledge of interventional procedures, physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs., and proficiency in communication, visual, and auditory skills. May be exposed to radiation and require travel between locations. On-call responsibilities and use of safety equipment may be needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr Health Here
