The Mounter Helper supports the tire mounting process for heavy construction equipment by assisting with the movement, preparation, and inspection of large tires and rims in a fast-paced production environment. This is a physically demanding, manual labor role that involves frequent heavy lifting, use of hand tools, and close collaboration with tire mounters to ensure efficient and accurate assembly.

Responsibilities:

• Assist tire mounters by rolling heavy construction tires to the rimming machine and positioning them for mounting.
• Ensure the correct rims are available for each tire assembly and verify that components match the required specifications.
• Attach the appropriate valves for different tire and rim assemblies, following established procedures and guidelines.
• Inspect rims for quality issues, including visual defects, and perform touch-up painting on rims as needed.
• Lift and maneuver tires and rims weighing approximately 75150 lbs, including lifting them onto their sides when required.
• Use hand tools to support the tire mounting and assembly process safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a steady workflow in a fast-paced production environment, keeping busy and focused throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
• Adapt to different work areas within the plant as needed, including moving between different mounting lines.
• Support mounting operations on different product lines, including those with multiple rim assemblies that require additional detail and accuracy.
• Contribute to overall production goals by maintaining reliable attendance and consistent productivity.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
