Accounting Technician

Thornhill Ford is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Technician to join our team in Chapmanville, WV. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our financial activities.
Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll
• Assist with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and resolve discrepancies

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting certifications are a plus
