Your Opportunity: Lead Production Excellence on 2nd Shift As a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, you will be crucial in directing our production employees and shop floor tasks. You'll be responsible for ensuring that production meets or exceeds efficiency, timeliness, and quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. This position has a salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 and is an exempt position. What You Will Do: Champion Safety: You will promote and ensure a safe working environment, ensuring all employees follow safety rules. Lead and Develop: You will oversee direct reports, promoting engagement, productivity, and goal achievement. You’ll plan, direct, monitor, coach, motivate, and evaluate employees. You will also participate in hiring, discipline, and performance management. Train and Mentor: You will provide production/shop floor training for new employees and refresher training as needed, using written training documents to ensure consistency. You’ll also coordinate training with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) where necessary. Optimize Production: You’ll develop production plans to effectively use equipment and employees to ensure product flows according to company goals and expectations. You'll also ensure the quality of work meets expectations in your area. Equipment Care and Maintenance: You'll develop and execute plans for employees to care for equipment, monitor performance, and notify maintenance when needed. You’ll follow up with maintenance to ensure effective equipment performance. Problem-Solve and Improve: You will investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and make recommendations to maintenance to resolve issues promptly. You’ll optimize equipment and processes for setup time, changeover, and operational cycles. You'll provide process and operational documentation for effective equipment use. Communicate and Collaborate: You’ll perform employee shift meetings regularly and attend various meetings/committees as needed. You'll offer suggestions for improvements of operations or processes. You will communicate and interact effectively and efficiently with employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers. Maintain Organization: You are expected always to maintain a clean and organized work area, including outside of the building. What You Need to Succeed: Experience: 3-5 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations and experience in Lean Manufacturing. Skills: Ability to resolve employee issues professionally, ability to understand, promote, and sustain change, and demonstrated strong troubleshooting abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree. 2 years of experience leading work crews or in supervision. Additional Requirements: Must pass a pre-employment assessment, physical, drug screen, and background check.
