Position Title: Manager, Water Responsibilities Acquire optimized water and wastewater service and infrastructure for SB Energy AI data centers Own and drive relationships with water and wastewater providers Partner, negotiate, and contract with water providers to secure permits and right-of-ways, and issue LNTPs for construction works of water and wastewater infrastructure Manage engagement with hyperscaler customers on water & wastewater topics. Secure voice-of-customer input on water & wastewater technical specifications and requirements, including head count, usage, flow-rate, etc Understand water and wastewater market developments, including key players, new technologies, and best practices. Hire and oversee water & wastewater engineering consultants as needed to support power and AI data center infrastructure project needs Work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams including Development, Origination, Engineering, Transmission/Interconnection, Capital Markets, Projects and other support teams. Support hyperscaler customer lease negotiation and AI data center project financing activities. Develop and successfully deliver on project schedules and budgets. Travel nationally up to 20%. Build effective relationships with network carriers, customer networking teams, and other key stakeholders Qualifications/Requirements A minimum of a Bachelors degree in related field. 3 + years of experience in water & wastewater for data centers and/or power generation, ideally at a hyperscaler or with a leading engineering consultancy. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, analytical and planning abilities, and good judgement. The ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously. Experience working with water & wastewater providers and with hyperscaler customer technology teams. Excellent communication and organization skills. Strong sense of ownership over individual contributions and team success. Location Austin, TX; San Francisco / Bay Area, CA; Denver, CO; San Diego, CA. Travel Requirements The position may require up to 20% domestic travel. Compensation Base Pay - $140,000 - $170,000 The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks—while ensuring internal parity across our team. In addition to competitive base pay, total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus, a long-term incentive plan aligned with our ownership mindset, and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
