Quality Control Inspector

About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturer of industrial components, is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join their dedicated team in Welkom, Free State . Key Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products against established quality standards and specifications. Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to perform inspections. Document inspection results accurately, including any non-conformities or deviations from specifications. Identify defective products and initiate corrective actions, working with relevant departments to resolve issues. Collaborate with production staff to ensure adherence to quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process. Conduct regular audits of production processes to verify compliance with quality standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality-related data. Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and implement preventive measures. Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures and documentation. Ensure a safe and organized working environment within the inspection area. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; a technical qualification in quality control or a related field is an advantage. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording data. Good observational skills and ability to identify subtle defects. Basic computer literacy, including experience with data entry. Effective communication skills for reporting findings to supervisors and production teams.
