Step into a vital role supporting students’ communication growth in an onsite school-based setting with a long-term contract opportunity. This position offers you stable, full-time hours—35 hours per week, Monday through Friday—aligned with the school calendar. Set in the vibrant New Orleans area, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and talented therapy professionals, making a lasting impact on students’ lives.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience in school settings and working with diverse student populations valued
  • Must complete district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students, addressing a range of communication needs
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to each student
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and professional standards
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote optimal learning outcomes for students
  • Adapt service models to individual and group settings as needed, supporting students of varying ages
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and ongoing staff training
