Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant New Orleans area. This position is designed for dedicated professionals seeking to make a significant impact on student communication and academic success. You’ll enjoy a guaranteed full-time schedule—35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the academic calendar. Assignments are onsite, supporting students at one or more schools within the district, with specific caseload details and campuses to be determined.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (required)
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Ability to complete district-required drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to standard credentialing
  • Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy and intervention services to students (caseload details and age groups TBD)
  • Conduct evaluations to determine student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s educational goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to meet district, state, and federal requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams as needed
  • Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
