Lead Counsel, Brand Attorney, Oncology Business Unit

Role

Lead Counsel, Brand Attorney in Takeda's Oncology Business Unit, providing legal guidance on commercial and pipeline pharmaceutical assets.

Responsibilities

advise on US and global laws (FDA regulations, anti-kickback, false claims, transparency, HIPAA, privacy)
review brand materials
support compliance in marketing, sales, access, and medical functions
negotiate complex vendor agreements
collaborate across functions including Ethics, Regulatory, Medical
develop risk mitigation strategies for commercial activities
ensure legal adherence in interactions with healthcare professionals, payers, and advocacy groups
and proactively improve legal workflows

Requirements

JD from an accredited law school, bar membership, 5+ years in pharmaceutical or device industry law or law firm experience
expertise in laws impacting pharma commercialization, including Anti-kickback Statute, FCA, FDCA, Medicaid, IRA, ACA
strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills
high emotional intelligence
