Senior Commercial Real Estate Litigation Attorney

About the Role
Join a growing boutique law firm as a senior attorney independently managing sophisticated commercial real estate litigation matters. You will handle complex disputes and creditor enforcement matters while mentoring junior attorneys and working in a flexible environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage commercial real estate litigation matters from start to finish, including mortgage foreclosures and secured creditor enforcement.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and appeals in state and federal courts.
- Appear in court, participate in mediations, and lead client-facing negotiations.
- Review junior attorneys' work, provide guidance, and support the quality of complex matters.
- Conduct due diligence on purchases and sales of notes and mortgages.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 years of experience in commercial and real estate litigation, including substantial commercial real estate law experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage sophisticated matters from beginning to end.
- Experience mentoring and overseeing junior attorneys.
- Admission to practice in New York is required; New Jersey admission is a plus.
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and client communication skills.
- Experience with bankruptcy law is beneficial.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office 365 and legal AI tools.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $300,000 to $450,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid role based in New York, New York.
