This individual will coordinate all Corporate Health and Medical Services processes and activities and will provide leadership on health-related issues for employees, supervisors, and facility leadership teams. This non-supervisory position manages occupational health and wellness services at the plants, coordinating health initiatives and collaborating with the local medical community when applicable. Responsibilities Live the Safety stand, adhere to safety responsibilities. Implement a personal safety action plan and review with leader. Work with medical providers to ensure quality treatment for occupational illnesses/injuries. Partner with plant leadership to promote a zero-injury culture. Lead the Wellness Pillar in our TPM journey. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Schedule and evaluate pre-placement, medical surveillance, preventative care, and fit for duty exams. Provide nursing care and make referrals as necessary. Conduct annual audiometric testing, vision exams, pulmonary function exams, and fit testing. Manage clinical and administrative aspects of occupational health clinics. Collaborate with Disability Case Managers and Workers’ Comp Adjustors for case management and return-to-duty processes. Promote employee health and wellness initiatives, achieving participation goals. Review medical surveillance data, conduct follow-ups, and assess risks in the Fitness Center. Experience and Qualifications BSN preferred; diploma or associate degree acceptable with RN licensure and 5 years of occupational health experience. Licensed registered Nurse. Certified Occupational Health Nurse or eligible to take the exam. Current CAOHC audiometry certification. Current NIOSH-approved spirometry training. Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of Occupational Health Nursing, OSHA regulations, and other regulatory standards. Understanding of state nurse practice acts, pharmacy statutes, and ethical guidelines. Strong interpersonal, computer, and communication skills. Ability to lead teams, adapt to change, and problem-solve. Knowledge of preventative health strategies and ability to coach employees on health issues.
