Estimated Appointment End Date July 01, 2026 Continuous if Blank Employment Type Full time Job Type Regular Compensation Tulsa County Job Description The Oklahoma Used Motor Vehicle Dismantler, and Manufactured Housing Commission, the state licensing agency for used motor vehicle dealers, automotive dismantlers and the manufactured home industry in the state of Oklahoma, seeks a full time inspector. Automotive sales experience may be helpful, but is not required. Job Duties Inspect dealer locations for compliance with regulations. Audit dealer records. Handle complaints against licensees. Investigate and prepare cases involving violations of laws and regulations for administrative hearings or court action. Present educational material for dealer education classes (as needed). Audit dealer files for compliance with requirements (as needed). Ideal Candidate Good oral and written communication skills. Basic knowledge and use of computers. College degree not required; educational attainment or appropriate experience may be given preference. Valid Oklahoma driver's license with a good driving record. Willingness to travel in state and overnight (reimbursement for mileage and expenses at State rates). Office location Oklahoma City. This is not a law enforcement position and CLEET certification is not necessary. Salary and Benefits Competitive salary corresponding with education and experience. Entry-level salaries range from $40,500 annually depending on experience and education. Full-time employees are eligible for state benefits including enrollment in the Defined Contribution Plan and a 457 Plan. Additionally, generous benefit allowances, longevity and per diem for overnight travel are offered.
