Radiation Therapist

Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments following physician prescriptions. Key Responsibilities Operate radiation equipment ensuring safety and precision in treatment delivery. Perform patient assessments, procedures, and provide specialty care tailored to patient age groups. Document all procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Participate in Quality Control and adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety measures. Simulate new patients and manage patient setup and scheduling efficiently. Educate patients and families about treatment side effects and safety precautions. Recognize limitations, seek assistance when needed, and report adverse reactions promptly. Assist in training students and participate in on-call rotations. Follow organizational policies, standards, and code of conduct. Qualifications & Skills Associates degree or equivalent from an accredited program. Minimum of 2 years experience in Radiation Therapy (preferred). Licenses and certifications: ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy), BLS (Basic Life Support). Ability to perform treatment simulations, patient care, and operate radiation equipment safely. #J-18808-Ljbffr
