AP Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and optimize the end-to-end accounts payable function. This role will oversee full-cycle AP operations, drive process improvements across the procure-to-pay (P2P) workflow, and play a key role in leveraging Airbase to automate and scale financial processes. This is a highly visible position that partners cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls. Key Responsibilities Full-Cycle AP Management: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment execution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. P2P Optimization: Evaluate and enhance procure-to-pay workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve overall efficiency. Payment Operations: Manage weekly and ad hoc payment runs (ACH, wire, and checks), ensuring proper controls and compliance with company policies. Airbase Administration & Automation: Serve as the primary owner of the Airbase platform, driving adoption, improving workflows, and implementing automation to scale operations. Vendor Management: Maintain vendor master data, ensuring accuracy, proper onboarding, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. 1099 Reporting: Manage annual 1099 preparation and filing, ensuring completeness and compliance with IRS requirements. Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current processes and implement scalable solutions to support growth and improve efficiency across the AP function. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, Finance, and Procurement teams to resolve discrepancies, improve workflows, and ensure alignment across departments. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including full-cycle AP ownership. System Requirements: Hands‑on experience with Airbase (required) . Strong understanding of AP operations, controls, and P2P processes. Experience managing payment runs, vendor relationships, and 1099 compliance. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives. High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Proficient in Excel and experience working within ERP systems. Benefits Base salary is determined by a range based on experience and market factors.
