Lab Technician (Entry)

Position Summary


The organization is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician with a strong background in scientific or engineering disciplines. The role involves handling incoming samples, ensuring proper labeling and request fulfillment, performing analyses according to standardized procedures, and delivering accurate results in a high-throughput laboratory environment. The successful candidate will work within a team, following clear guidelines, under supervision, and contribute to maintaining data integrity and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, and prepare samples, ensuring correct labeling and appropriate analytical requests.
• Conduct sample analysis following established laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Prioritize laboratory testing activities based on operational needs and timelines.
• Organize and coordinate multiple projects within a high-volume lab setting.
• Obtain and verify analytical data, maintaining strict data integrity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely laboratory results.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform daily tasks.
• Work under immediate supervision, reporting to a supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or Biology, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant industry experience; equivalent applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with receipt and preparation of samples, analytical procedures, and data management.
• Ability to work efficiently within established guidelines and under supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation and techniques, including chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry analyses, laboratory information management systems (LIMS), data collection and reporting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate projects in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
