Laboratory Technician III# Laboratory Technician IIICOLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80907## OverviewSalary Range$25.00 - $25.00 Hourly## DescriptionPrimary Purpose: To provide assistance with sample preparation and support to the laboratory staff and to follow all needed quality control documentation and procedures to accomplish these goals. To be able to work independently and train in these areas. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Documents work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records.* May perform basic laboratory testing* Performs routine chemical procedures including sample preparation.* Sample Homogenization* Reagent Preparation* Solution Preparation* Uses laboratory equipment appropriate for assigned tasks. o Performs pipette calibrations in accordance with SOP and industry standards o Sets and maintains general lab equipment preventative maintenance schedule* Attends and participates in project and laboratory staff meetings.* Plans assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedules multiple assignments.* Assists with maintaining supplies, including the ordering and organization of biomatrices and consumables* Contributes to a cohesive team environment.* Determines daily and weekly workload of the team in coordination with team members and provides support as needed.* Identifies and drives process improvement initiatives.* Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.* Performs routine washing and disinfecting of laboratory glassware, equipment, and worktables* Assists with the duties of laboratory safety and compliance* May assist with all aspects of the sample storage and disposition* Modifies established procedures within specified guidelines* Performs other related duties as assigned.* Interacts with internal teams.Working Conditions:May work with potentially hazardous substances.Mandatory immunizations and screening as required.Overtime and weekend work as required.Work requires some standing and sitting for long periods of time, including working within a laboratory hood and at standing bench top.Work requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment).## QualificationsExperience:High School diploma or equivalent and 4-6+ years of experience or Associate Degree in a Sientific field and 2-4+ years of experience \\*Significant work experience will be considered as a substitution for education Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: AlgebraProficient in basic Chemistry MathFollow written protocolsProficient in Microsoft OfficeAttention to detailKnows basic Chemistry MathKnows Microsoft OfficeExperience with common laboratory equipmentMastered basic Chemistry MathMastered Microsoft OfficeKnows common laboratory equipment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common laboratory equipment; Bioanalytical CRO experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Aliri
