Part-Time Server

This position is ideal for an outgoing individual whom enjoys working with others and engaging well with members. Possessing exceptional friendliness and communication skills is a huge plus. Here at Algonquin Golf Club, we love to hire friendly people whom want toServers will be expected to know our a la carte menu as well as any nightly specials. A clear understanding of both menu items and specials will be critical as servers will be expected to answer any questions a member or guest may have. Additionally, a general knowledge of wine, liquor, and beer will be helpful. Management will assist in bringing staff up to speed on our offerings both food and beverage, but previous knowledge and experience is preferred. Experience with point of sale systems is a plus.Job Duties:Provide excellent member experienceGreet members and present menusMake suggestions based on their preferencesTake and serve food/drinks ordersUp-sell when appropriateArrange table settingsKeep tables clean and tidy at all timesAccurately ring in and charge membersCooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staffAdhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelinesPerform opening and closing side workWork with management to resolve all member and guest complaintsCompletes other appropriate assignments directed by dining room managersReports to:Clubhouse ManagerCandidate QualificationsCandidate should have 1 year of serving experienceCandidate should be able to work in a fast paced demanding environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
