Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector is responsible for the direct inspection, measurement, and testing of products at various stages of production. This role ensures that all raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods strictly adhere to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards, serving as the frontline guardian of product quality.ResponsibilitiesPerform first-article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools; read and interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Accurately document all inspection results and maintain clear, detailed quality records.Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming products, and support the Material Review Board (MRB) process.Utilize and maintain calibrated measurement equipment, supporting Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities.Assist in the containment and verification of corrective actions for quality issues.Uphold a safe and organized work environment, complying with all company and OSHA safety procedures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or associate degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment; automotive experience is a significant advantage. Demonstrated proficiency in using basic and advanced metrology equipment. Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a strong plus. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification. Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation. Meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and high integrity.
