Position Summary

A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available in Lee’s Summit, MO for a clinician who enjoys helping patients improve movement, rebuild strength, and return to daily activities with better function.

This role is based in an outpatient orthopedic setting and focuses on treating patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patient needs, develop treatment plans, provide skilled interventions, document progress, and work closely with PTAs and other clinical team members.

The clinic serves patients from 11 to 90 years old , offering a varied caseload and steady opportunities for clinical growth.

Compensation

• New Graduate Physical Therapist: $65,000–$70,000 per year
• Experienced Physical Therapist: $80,000–$90,000 per year, based on years of experience

Preferred Schedule Options

Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days Preferred

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Tuesday off each week

Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinic Information

• Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
• Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
• Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
• EMR System: WebPT
• Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
• Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assess strength, mobility, balance, range of motion, pain levels, and functional limitations
• Develop individualized plans of care based on clinical findings and patient goals
• Treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions using appropriate physical therapy interventions
• Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance activities, mobility work, and functional rehabilitation
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, activity modifications, and safe movement strategies
• Monitor progress and update treatment plans when needed
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in WebPT
• Coordinate with PTAs and other team members to support consistent patient care

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
• Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Outpatient orthopedic experience is helpful, but not required
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
• Ability to work with patients across a broad age range
