Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care — including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — for patients post-trauma, post-surgical intervention, and with medical comorbidities across all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdepartmental teams to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration and operation of unit equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment; document care using EPIC EMR
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
• Float on a rotational basis as required; night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• 4 trauma credits required — must be completed within the first two weeks of the assignment start date if not already obtained
• NIHSS certification — may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• Experience and competence in drug titration
• Flu vaccination or an approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Inpatient trauma experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a determined, decisive, and flexible approach to patient care
