About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department Description: Approval to use Rapid Onboarding Checklist required. ASAP start needed. Facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services. Position is located approximately 45 miles east of a major urban center, within a 2-hour drive from the coast. It is also 1 hour from prominent universities. The facility is a 15-minute drive from a local lake. The emergency department has a total of 26 beds. Patient ratios are typically 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity. The department is equipped with GE Monitors and standard emergency department equipment. Electronic Health Record system used is Meditech. Supervision provided by a designated supervisor. Patient population includes all ages. Common diagnoses managed include respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure, dialysis, and hypertension. Ideal candidates are team players with an engaged and positive attitude. Required education is an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Dress code is scrubs of any color with no unacceptable attire specified.
