Behavior Specialist (Social Worker/Counselor)

Behavior Specialist (Social Worker/Counselor) AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Behavior Specialist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. Job Description: Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location. Contract through the 2026/2027 school year: 32 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (master’s preferred). Must have a valid license as a LPC or LSW. Must have a valid Ohio licensure. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Essential Functions: Conduct behavioral assessments. Develop and implement individualized behavior plans. Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed. Train and support staff and families.
