Join our Data Security Engineering Team now and be part of our dynamically growing Citi Technology Team in Budapest! Within Citi, the Global Data Security Engineering Team is focusing on designing, developing, testing and architecting Citi’s next generation cyber security and cryptography solutions across the globe. In this role you will be responsible to research, develop and certify security strategies, products, architectures, and best practices. You will also be responsible to define and influence key security strategy initiatives and deliver security solutions that will adhere to all enterprise security requirements with a potential to influence industry wide roadmaps. As a Junior Crypto Engineer you will Identify opportunities to automate and standardize information security controls for the supported groups. Introduce Hardware Security Modules and Crypto applications within Citi and provide engineering support. Work under supervision of senior colleagues and continuously learn the technologies and procedures. Create automated testing solution, review, and validate results and prioritize actions that resolve issues based on overall risk. Reduce risk by analysing the root cause of issues, their impact, and required corrective actions. Hold the ownership of multiple products and share knowledge of the product with teammates and help them fully understand procedures, best practices, and standards. Ideal background 2-5 years of experience in technology and information security. Basic knowledge of crypto techniques and algorithms. Solid scripting skills (VB, Bash, PS). Work with and understand regulatory and risk management requirements. Strong security mindset. Experience with Hardware Security Modules is a plus. Knowledge and experience of PKCS protocols, JCE and CSP/KSP is a plus. Programming skills in common languages (C++, C#, Python, Perl, Java) are a plus. Ability to define deadlines internally and externally and track them across multiple projects. University/College degree in any STEM field or equivalent knowledge.
