Technical Sales Specialist (Southeast)

Position Overview Technical Sales Specialist – Spatial Biology Capital Equipment and Services Pay Range: $83,400.00 – $137,100.00 Territory: Southeast United States (50‑80% travel) Key Responsibilities Achieve assigned territory sales goals. Build long‑term relationships with customers to drive sales objectives and exceed targets. Develop and execute regional, territory, and account‑specific sales strategies. Perform on‑site and remote demonstrations and run basic staining assays. Work closely with customer support, marketing, and other stakeholder functional departments to provide a high‑quality customer experience. Attend conferences and customer meetings, present products and applications, help with booth set‑up and breakdown, and independently plan and orchestrate customer meetings and seminars. Understand all technical aspects of the products, both device and application side, and keep the customer management database up‑to‑date with field feedback. Frequent traveling to customer sites (50‑80%). Maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a pre‑employment Motor Vehicle Record check. Qualifications Master’s or PhD in Biology, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Medicine, or related field. At least 3 years of experience in technical sales roles within the life sciences research market. Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and long‑term vision. Experience with academia and biopharma players in immuno‑oncology and neurosciences segments. Strong understanding of the spatial biology market and in‑situ techniques (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in‑situ hybridization, etc.). Hands‑on laboratory experience, confident in testing assays. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven track record in life science/diagnostics sales and account management. Proactive, results‑driven, and Excel‑savvy with strong organizational skills. Fluency in oral and written English; additional languages welcome. Required Soft Skills Enjoy interacting with people, providing advice and solutions, and delivering good customer service. Ability to formulate and present territory forecasts, sales plans, and strategies. Adaptability in a constantly changing environment. Team collaborator, sharing information with peers and managers. Critical thinking and analytical skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Willingness to travel frequently.
