Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,450 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour days) Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Location: Columbus, GA We are looking for a Speech–Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Columbus, GA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. Responsibilities Assist patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluate and develop a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders. Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply. BLS and ASHA‑SLP National Certification with state‑specific licensing. Ability to stand and walk for long periods and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
