Security Officer
Qualifications:
- 21 years of age.
- Certified by CLEET as an Armed Security Officer with documentation of current status.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Work well with students.
- Has good job and character references.
- Able to work well with others and take direction as needed.
- Physically able to meet the needs of the position.
- Able to pass a complete criminal background check.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications that the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To:
Chief of Police and Campus Police Officer at High School.
Job Goal:
To provide students with a safe educational environment.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Patrol and maintain security of student parking lot and exterior of the building.
- If appropriate operate and maintain the parking lot security booth.
- Check persons coming onto campus, students, patrons, parents, etc.
- Check students leaving campus during the school day for appropriate passes and schedules.
- Enforce parking regulations and rules within the parking lots.
- Assist the Campus Police Officer and Administration of the school to maintain a safe and secure school environment.
- Work extra duty activities as needed by the School and the District.
- Any other special duties assigned by the Chief of Police.
Terms of Employment:
196 day contract. Salary to be established by the Board.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated monthly during probation periods and annually thereafter in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of nonprofessional personnel.
