Position Summary

The Supervisory Security Officer (SSO) is responsible for direct oversight, leadership, and operational supervision of contract security personnel assigned to the FAA MMAC facility. This role ensures compliance with contract requirements, federal security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned Contract Security Officers (CSOs)
• Serve as on-site decision-maker during shift
• Ensure compliance with FAA, and contract requirements
• Conduct inspections of posts at least twice per shift
• Report security violations, shortages, and complaints
• Provide training and guidance to staff
• Respond to emergencies and unusual situations
• Ensure professional conduct and proper uniform/equipment

Authority & Decision-Making

Authorized to make real-time decisions during shift operations while maintaining compliance with federal and contract requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4 years of security experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• 6 years total in facility protection
• Must meet Armed Security Officer requirements

Essential Functions

• Standing/walking up to 12 hours
• Responding to emergencies
• Operating security equipment
• Maintaining alertness and situational awareness

Working Conditions

• Indoor/outdoor environments
• Exposure to extreme weather
• Shift work including nights/weekends
