Job Summary:
This Vascular Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Morgantown, West Virginia within the Heart and Vascular Institute. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgery patients, supporting complex procedures such as peripheral artery bypass, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomies, fistula creation, amputations, and endovascular surgeries (EVAR, TCAR, TAG). Candidates must bring their license on the first day of employment. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with required call shifts and holiday coverage.

Job Details:

• Location: Morgantown, WV
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift, 6:00 AM 4:30 PM, with call shifts and holiday coverage required
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Certification; 2 years minimum experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery
• Required Qualifications: Certifications (BLS, ACLS), POC license, high school diploma or equivalent (must provide copies during onboarding), valid drivers license outside of 50 miles from the facility
• Additional Information: Holiday call as needed; clinicians must provide a copy of their diploma for onboarding and email it directly to the manager upon receipt.
• Experience in open vascular and endovascular procedures is essential. Knowledge of sedation, circulating, and vascular procedures is required.
• The role requires the RN to circulate and sedate during surgeries, with a preference for candidates with vascular experience.
• Must have familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• The position is in an acute care setting, within a dedicated Heart and Vascular Institute.
• Note: Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years; previous travelers there for 1 year must also be gone for 2 years.
• The facility will only accept submissions for one position at a time across the entire system; travel teams must be submitted together in one email.
• Clinicians are only permitted to submit two candidates per opening, with submissions held if the position is filled.
