Float Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Fairbanks, AK. Join us in our mission to improve health and lives. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, hours vary between 7:00am and 7:00pm; additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 21 years of age. Reliable transportation and clean driving record. Valid Driver's License. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications 6 or more months of phlebotomy experience. 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Be at least 21 years of age or older. Reliable transportation and clean driving record. Valid Driver's License. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service.
