Accounting Operations Specialist Responsibilities * The Accounting Operations Specialist will process daily ACH transactions, exceptions, returns, and ACH originations. * Review and process share draft exceptions while serving as a point of contact for member inquiries related to ACH and share draft services. * Process wire transfers, legal notices, levies, and other financial transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements. * The Accounting Operations Specialist will prepare general ledger reconciliations, research discrepancies, and maintain accurate accounting records. * Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while supporting the accounting team. * The Accounting Operations Specialist will cross-train on departmental functions and provide operational support as needed. Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Operations Specialist Role * 3+ years of accounting, banking, credit union, or financial operations experience. * Credit union or banking experience preferred but not required. * Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate effectively with members, vendors, and internal teams.
