Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring machined parts meet customer requirements, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This role performs manual inspections, operates Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), and supports our ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System. You'll work closely with machinists, engineers, and production to make sure only quality parts leave our shop.

What You'll Do

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of machined components.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Operate CMM equipment to inspect complex parts and document results.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify and document nonconforming material and work with production to resolve issues.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and customer quality requirements.
• Assist with ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance activities, including audits and documentation.
• Verify calibration status of inspection equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and help solve quality-related problems.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a team-first attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating CMM equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or AS9102 requirements.
• Experience with calibration systems.
